2006’s Best Fashion
Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007style spy wasn’t around for all of 2006, but that didn’t stop over 500 fashion items and trends being submitted, nor over 2000 votes being cast.
Like our weekly ‘What Impressed Us’ fashion trend analysis feature, it’s worth noting what made an impact on style spy’s users in 2006.
- The Dena Pezzano Black Bustier. Suggested in October, the vintage bustier remained the most popular item by the end of 2006 with only positive votes.
- The Gorman Ravello Shorts. This one surprised us, we really would have expected short shorts (or shorter shorts) such as Guess’ Millie Micro shorts to garner more attention. But these cuffed, and seemingly pleated shorts won out in the end.
- The Minidress Trend was the only trend to make it into the top 5 of 2006 and given it focuses around revealing utterly sexy legs, we’re not surprised.
- The Metalicus Arabesque Boy Shorts. Had they not received any negative votes, these lacy boy shorts may have made it to the number one spot.
- The Samsung SCH-B600 10 mega pixel camera phone. Probably because Samsung managed to fit so much stuff into this phone, including an optical zoom lense, this camera phone was the only gadget (or even accessory) to make it anywhere near 2006’s top 5. It even managed beat out Nokia’s Aeon concept.
