In total they’ve voted over 5,700 times on 896 trends and fashion items.
I remain the most prolific apparently. Kate Moss remains the sexiest and most stylish person. Think she’d be willing to swap qualities with me?
After being featured on the likes of Museum of Modern Betas and Mashable, our style spy initiative has been fortunate to have been picked up on by a number of other blogs.
Our thanks to the different authors for their mention of style spy.
Mashable, a blog dedicated to dedicated to social networks, now features a write-up on style spy. It’s certainly favourable (”cool layout”) and constructive (”could really do with a bookmarklet”), so we’re very thankful to Pete for the feature.

Trends come and go so quickly it’s sometimes hard to know what’s hot. But rather than have someone tell you, why not help set the trends?
style spy (http://www.stylespy.net) is the latest and most unique development in social trend-spotting. A simple-to-use and highly visual application, style spy gives you the opportunity to vote on and discuss what’s hot – helping to shape trends – as well as being up to date with what’s in and what’s out.
“style spy is so simple, it’s fun to use and we’re continually working to make it better,” says Allan Barger, 22, one of style spy’s creators.
Unlike social bookmarking, style spy is all about charting what’s hot. Trends quickly emerge as items sink or swim depending on votes from users. Content on style spy ranges from clothing and accessories to cool new gadgets, established brands to upcoming talent.
As well as being a trend bible for consumers, style spy is also a perfect tool for upcoming fashion designers and labels to promote their wares and bring their designs to the attention of a wider audience.
About style spy

style spy, our trend and fashion spotting initiative, hit 500 submissions today.
The 500th item submitted was the Matinee set from Agent Provocateur.

Perhaps they haven’t come across style spy yet? But publishing group Condé Nast is to launch a women’s fashion website targeting 15 to 45-year-old women and featuring details on a wide range of high street and designer labels.
It sounds like an interesting concept, a “shopping website for style-conscious women” linking “numerous fashion websites” and “updated daily”.
But honestly, it’s practically 2007. A fashion website just for women?
After a few months of development and tweaking, we’ve opened one of our initiatives, style spy, to Rogue Connect members.
style spy is a collaborative trend spotting site, where users are encourage to submit clothing and accessories that they think to be highly fashionable or an upcoming trend. Using a secret method, style spy then ranks the items giving people the opportunity to see the hottest fashion trends of the moment, or the top fashion trends as historically voted by users of style spy.
style spy is expected to be open to the wider community before Christmas.
Not content with running the hottest exclusive fashion network on the web, the team behind Rogue Connect are developing a trend-spotting community that’s set to capture the attention of designers, labels and fashionistas world-wide.
A simple-to-use but addictive concept, style spy will introduce the newest form of trend-setting and trend-spotting. By gauging the community’s interest in everything new from clothing and accessories to cool new gadgets, established brands to emerging designers, style spy will be ahead of everything that’s in vogue.
The website’s creators have already had a flood of offers from people wanting a first glimpse at the new application – so they’ve decided to open up an invitation for beta testers. “We are looking to perfect the design and functionality of style spy, so we’re offering people interested in fashion the opportunity to be first inside the community,” says Daniel P Dykes, one of the creators. “Beta users will be able to give us the valuable feedback we need to get everything just right”.
style spy is scheduled for its public launch at the end of the year. Unlike Rogue Connect, style spy will not be a private-members community. Anyone wishing to apply for a beta account can register their interest at http://www.stylespy.net.
